The 2025 San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo finally arrives on its much-anticipated Ranch Rodeo! With over $40,000 cash prize (and serious bragging rights) at stake, this year’s competitions will be a roller coaster ride for both participating ranches and audiences at the stand. Six teams, five cowboys each, will duke it out in six timed events that simulate the type of work ranch hands do daily, from steer loading to calf branding to wild cow milking. Competing groups will vie for the highest total points to be crowned Ranch Rodeo Champion, with additional titles awarded for the best-performing cowboy (“Top Hand”) and ranch horse (“Top Horse”).
The Muscadine Bloodline duo of Charlie Muncaster and Gary Stanton will follow up the games with a music show that’ll have you tapping your boots to their Alabamian rhythm. Muncaster’s soulful voice meets Stanton’s expert guitar harmonies in tracks that touch upon plainspoken Texas Red Dirt, bracing Southern rock, and polished Nashville country pop.
